Job description

Position: Radiologic Technologist (Full Time; Nights; 7p-7a)

About Martin County Hospital District (MCHD):

Established in 1967, MCHD is located in West Texas, serving Martin County. The hospital, originally opened in 1949 and replaced with a modern 18-bed facility in 2012, is designated as a Critical Access Hospital.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform radiology procedures according to clinician orders and exam protocols.
  2. Instruct patients to ensure cooperation and optimal test results.
  3. Assess and interpret patient data; provide age-specific care as per departmental policies.
  4. Operate equipment safely, maintain equipment, and keep examination rooms stocked.
  5. Monitor procedures to ensure quality imaging and patient safety.
  6. Maintain accurate records, reports, and files, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and accurate care delivery.
  8. Follow aseptic, safety, and infection control procedures.
  9. Perform technical services across functions to meet patient needs.
Requirements:
  1. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  2. Licensed by ARRT and Texas Medical Board (MRT registration).
  3. CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
  4. Proficiency in all X-ray studies; basic knowledge of radiologic equipment.
  5. Effective communication skills.
  6. Experience in CT preferred; willingness to cross-train.
