North Carolina Specialty Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an experienced X-Ray Tech to perform MRI, radiological CT, diagnostic imaging, and C-arm imaging to produce high-quality images for physicians. You will interview patients, assess safety, and ensure compliance with radiology standards.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, entering data, selecting protocols, and operating X-ray systems while upholding safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum of two years as a technologist in a surgical setting.
• Current BLS certification through an ARC or AHA accredited program.
• Registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or registry eligible to be obtained within 1 year of hire and licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Radiologic Technologists.
• Effective communication skills; both orally and written.
• Computer skills; ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.
• Strong critical thinking skills.

Responsabilités

• Interviews patients for history and informs patients regarding safety and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with state, federal and accrediting body standards in radiology.
• Cleans X-ray equipment and handles biohazard materials properly.
• Maintains safety via proper signage, dosimeter badges, and documentation of radiation exposure per policy.
• Prepares patients for X-ray procedures and assists with positioning and instructions.
• Enters patient data, selects protocols, and scans per protocol within acceptable timeframes.
• Transports equipment and patients safely to prevent injury.
• Performs X-ray, C-arm fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and mammography procedures as needed.
• Demonstrates age/developmental appropriate interactions with patients and families.
• Adheres to hospital policies including confidentiality and Code of Conduct.
• Maintains confidentiality and diverse, respectful workplace behavior.
