Job summary

Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to support diagnostic imaging and patient care.

You will prepare patients, perform radiographic procedures, develop and transmit films to Radiologists via PACS, administer contrast as allowed, follow safety guidelines, and maintain aseptic technique between patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology.
• Should adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits bi-annually.
• Current license with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts required upon hire.
• Must be ARRT Registered with ARRT – RT(R) or Registry eligible and registered within one year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
