Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate standard, portable, and specialized X‑ray equipment for diagnostic exams and patient care. You will work with a dedicated team to deliver quality imaging and support the radiology department.

You will prepare patients, perform radiographic procedures, process films, and ensure correct data and image quality while adhering to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have AMA accredited program with certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology.
• ARRT registration or registry eligibility; must be registered within one year of program completion; 24 CE credits bi-annually.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
