K.A. Recruiting, Inc. in the West Florida area is seeking a Radiology (X-Ray) Technologist for a full-time, day-shift position with full benefits. The ideal candidate has ARRT certification, an associate degree, and a mindset for safety and accuracy in imaging across rooms including OR and fluoroscopy, with opportunities for CT training.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Science (or higher).

Responsibilities

• Position, label, and image radiographs with proper technique.
• Ensure radiation doses are kept within safety limits.
• Follow radiation safety best practices.
• Assess age-specific needs and provide appropriate care.
• Perform basic radiographic procedures (XR, OR, fluoroscopy); training to CT or CT technologist as applicable.

Job Description:

• Has good knowledge of positioning, technical factors, clinical information and correct marking and labeling of films.
• Ensures that radiation doses for patients remain within safeALARAlimits.
• Follows radiation safety best practices.
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge necessary to assess the age specific needs of the patients served, and provide appropriate care.
• Performsradiographicprocedures including but not limited to basicxray, Operating Room, andfluoroprocedures or is training to advance to CT or is an accomplished CT technologist.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and meets certification criteria forCEU's.

Job Requirements:
