Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital and Canton Medical Center seeks a Radiology Technologist to operate diagnostic imaging equipment, assist radiologists, and produce high-quality radiographs. The role emphasizes patient care, dose reduction, and adherence to department protocols in a busy radiology setting.

Day shift responsibilities include reviewing requests, preparing patients, and ensuring accuracy in imaging procedures across locations within the Trinity Health system.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist / Radiography program.
• Registered as a Radiographer by the ARRT (ARRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• One year of experience as Radiologic Technologist preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy and physics, positioning and imaging techniques, including dose reduction (ALARA)

Responsibilities

• Review procedure requests and determine the region to be examined per department protocols.
• Prepare patients and position them, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety.
• Assist radiologist in performing routine radiographs and operate imaging equipment.
• Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond to changes as needed.
• Document procedures in the computerized system and determine need for re-imaging.
• Collect and forward completed PACS images for interpretation and reporting.
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
