Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification and BLS certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment safely and minimize dose while achieving diagnostic quality.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and use two unique patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with venipuncture as needed.
• Position patients, apply markers/shielding, and immobilize as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes and support department flow.
