Qualifikationen

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Experience preferred, not required.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography) BLS – American Heart Association.

Aufgaben

• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and competently, maintaining diagnostic quality at ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders; ensure two patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with proper venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and re-image if needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; transfers and prior exams retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
• Coordinate daily workflow to meet timeframes; support department operations and compliance.
