Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Georgia is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform standard radiographic procedures safely and efficiently, review and transmit films and reports, and support reception and clerical duties in the Radiology Department.

You will prepare patients, perform radiographic or fluoroscopic procedures, ensure accurate data entry into RIS, maintain image quality, and participate in after-hours call as needed. BLS and ARRT certification required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Radiologic Technologist experience.
• Certification as Radiologic Technologist and BLS.
• General knowledge of EH&S, OSHA, DHR, Radiation Safety.
• Proficient in basic PC operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for radiographic procedures by assessing needs and educating.
• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Complete scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
• Demonstrate IV placement and contrast administration.
• Operate imaging equipment and document images.
• Conduct quality control to ensure optimal image quality.
• Enter patient data and charges into RIS or KP systems.
• Prepare films for radiologist interpretation in a timely manner.
• Follow department procedures and safety policies.
• Coordinate with radiologists and ordering practitioners to ensure quality care.
• Provide coverage for call after hours as needed.
