Starting Wage DOE: $27.69 – 34.61
Essential Job Functions
- Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations; maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards related to environment, employee, patient safety and job performance.
- Ensures radiological services are in compliance with standards established by Billings Clinic, local, state and federal agencies.
- Performs quality procedures and radiographs using the appropriate department routine as ordered and is able to perform examinations using all general radiographic equipment.
- Prepares the room, equipment and supplies as dictated by the examination or patient need and processes the necessary radiographs.
- Competent in setting up and using C-arms and O-arms in the OR setting to assist with image guidance for surgical cases.
- Participates in call coverage to support emergent OR cases requiring imaging guidance.
- Prepares the patient for the examination by ensuring proper attire, explains the examination to the patient, transfers and positions the patient as needed, demonstrates radiation safety practices, and assists the patient at the end of the examination.
- Informs Manager or Supervisor of any unusual concerns, situations or conditions; assists with stocking and cleaning the assigned room daily; maintains adequate inventory of supplies using supply‑management software and coordinates acquisition as needed.
- Performs clerical and image‑management tasks as required, including patient work‑up, completing paperwork after each examination, and properly identifying exams for PACS storage and review.
- Identifies growth needs and sets goals for personal development; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.
- Maintains competency in environmental, employee and patient safety standards relevant to job performance.
- Assumes an active role in mentoring student technologist staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in Radiological Technology.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT); proficiency in all required job roles for Radiologic Technologist in the OR setting.
- Current Montana license as a Radiology Technologist/Regional RT; additional current state license as appropriate to the service site.
