Job summary

Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana, is seeking a Radiology Nurse to join the Radiology Administration. Under supervision, you will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients and coordinate with the care team.

This is a full-time position with Day, Evening, and Weekend shifts. Starting wage is DOE with a potential $20,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance and tuition loan repayment.

Qualifications

  • RN license required at hire.
  • ACLS and PALS certification required.
  • Minimum 2 Year / Associate Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes nursing process in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for patient care.
  • Maintains accurate patient records per guidelines and policies.
  • Adheres to safety standards and participates in quality improvement.
  • Communicates effectively with families and interdisciplinary team.
  • Performs duties to support mission and patient safety.

Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater)
Hours per Pay Period: 0.75 = 60 hours every two weeks (Non-Exempt)
Starting Wage DOE:$38.91 - $61.21

This position may be eligible for a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus, Tuition Loan Repayment, and Relocation Assistance.

Under general supervision, utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, and theoretical/clinical skills in the promotion/maintenance of health. Incorporates evidence-based nursing practices consistent with national standards and which support quality outcomes. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the quality of nursing care. Directs the plan of care while maintaining professionalism.

Essential Job Functions
  • Utilizing a holistic approach and evidence based nursing practices, incorporates the nursing process into the goal-directed plan of care for the patient. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to execute a plan of care appropriate to the needs of the patients.
  • Ensures complete, accurate and timely entry into patient medical record as indicated by patient condition and documentation guidelines, consistent with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to Billings Clinic safety standards, policies and practices. Anticipates and identifies problems and safety issues, then initiates appropriate action.
  • Maintains appropriate skill/knowledge and application of relevant and commonly used equipment specific to area, pharmacology and laboratory values based on disease process or physiological status.
  • Utilizes evidence based practice, supported by nursing research, within specialty area.
  • Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve the quality of patient/resident care. Incorporates the Magnet Model in transforming the work environment and quality of nursing care.
  • Takes responsibility for own professional growth and development needs; meets all system/departmental educational requirements.
  • Demonstrates collaborative, supportive, and caring behaviors in communication with patient’s families, visitors, and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Consideration is given to the appropriateness of care based on the population specific needs of the patient.
  • Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
  • Minimum 2 Year / Associate Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Preferred 4 Year / Bachelors Degree BSN. Completion of a BSN within 4 years of hire is required for candidates with fewer then 5 years of Registered Nursing experience. Candidates with 5 (five) or more years of Registered Nursing experience may waive this requirement.
Experience
  • Experience in critical care, conscious sedation, interventional radiology, angiography and nuclear medicine experience desirable
Certifications and Licenses
  • ACLS and PALS certification required
  • Required to complete 4 hours of annual training per year for comprehensive stroke certification requirements.
  • NIHSS training is required
  • RN license at hire

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered. Employees that require a licensed or certification must be properly licensed/certified and the licensure/certification must be in good standing.
