Job summary

Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist I to obtain diagnostic-quality radiographs while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will work closely with radiologists and healthcare teams to support efficient operations in a compliant environment.

The ideal candidate has 0-1 years of clinical radiology experience, ARRT certification, and BCLS, with strong patient communication and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of radiologic imaging techniques, patient positioning, and radiation safety.
• Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Excellent patient-care and communication skills to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures independently with diagnostic-quality images while following positioning guidelines.
• Adheres to ALARA and safety guidelines to minimize exposure.
• Prepares patients, verifies orders, identifies patients using two identifiers, and explains procedures.
• Demonstrates population-appropriate competencies for all relevant patient demographics.
• Maintains imaging equipment and follows infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are organized for patient care.
• Documents into PACS for radiologist interpretation and proper documentation.
• Communicates effectively with peers, physicians, and staff to support patient care delivery.
• Identifies artifacts and maintains image quality.
• Performs other duties and maintains regular attendance.
