Job summary

East Georgia Regional Medical Center, LLC is seeking a Radiology Technologist I (PRN) to obtain diagnostic-quality radiographs while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and regulatory compliance. The role collaborates with radiologists and healthcare providers to support efficient operations and quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification and state licensure, strong imaging knowledge, infection control, and proficiency with EHR/RIS systems.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT certification.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist per state requirement.
• BCLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality radiographic procedures independently and reproducibly.
• Adheres to ALARA and participates in Image Gently/ Image Wisely programs.
• Prepares patients, verifies orders, and explains procedures for patient comfort.
• Maintains equipment and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Ensures proper supplies and equipment availability for patient care.
• Documents imaging and related data in PACS for interpreter review.
• Communicates effectively with staff and physicians to support patient care.
• Identifies artifacts and ensures optimal image quality.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.
