Job summary

Prime Healthcare at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA seeks a Radiologic Technologist I (PRN) to perform diagnostic X-ray procedures and assist health care teams in image quality and patient safety.

The ideal candidate has ARRT-R certification, state licensure and BCLS, and at least one year of radiology experience. You will maintain equipment, follow protocols, and stay current with imaging advancements.

Qualifications

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• ARRT-R is required.
• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as radiography, CT scans, mammography, bone density tests, ultrasound, and other examinations following departmental protocols
• Ensure that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
• Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
• Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
• Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
• Maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
