Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Wailuku, Hawaii, seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform general radiology, fluoroscopic imaging, and DEXA studies across multiple care settings. You will ensure image quality, safety, and accurate documentation while collaborating with radiologists and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in radiologic technology or two years of related experience.
• Hawaii Radiographer License required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certificate - Radiography required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic examinations per departmental protocols in diagnostic imaging areas and operating rooms.
• Identifies patients, reviews orders, and aligns exams with clinical history and prior studies.
• Assists radiologists and nurses; ensures data entry and documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Maintains sterile fields and prepares contrast agents and surgical packs as needed.
• Operates radiology, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging systems; positions patients for optimum imaging.
• Performs DEXA studies, reviews orders, and discusses protocols with radiologists as needed.
• Monitors safety, ALARA practices, and fluoroscopy time; participates in Code Blue/Rapid Response.
• Rotates on-call responsibilities and pursues ongoing continuing education.
