Radiology Technologist I - 15K Sign-On Bonus

Join Boston Medical Center (BMC) as a Radiology Technologist I and receive a 15K Sign-On Bonus.

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform vital X-ray imaging for trauma patients, inpatients, and outpatients, aiding accurate diagnoses and patient care. You will work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with our Radiology Team to support BMC's mission.

Position Details

• Position: Radiology Technologist I
• Department: Diagnostic Radiology
• Schedule: Full Time

Essential Responsibilities

1. Perform diagnostic imaging studies with proper technique, ensuring minimal radiation exposure.
2. Set up equipment, produce quality radiographs, and assist in exams as directed.
3. Perform exams on patients of all ages across various locations.
4. Ensure timely completion of exams to reduce delays.
5. Match exams to clinical indications based on established protocols.

Patient Care and Safety

1. Prepare patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and modesty.
2. Verify patient identifiers before each exam.
3. Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond as needed.
4. Follow infection control and safety procedures, using AIDET communication.

Administrative Duties

1. Document exams accurately in RIS and PACS.
2. Maintain professionalism in all interactions and phone etiquette.
3. Maintain licensure, certifications, and compliance requirements.

Job Requirements

• Current or ability to obtain Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License and ARRT Certification.
• Current BLS/CPR Certification or ability to obtain before start date.
• Completion of two years post-high school radiologic technology training.
• Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and equipment operation.

Preferred Qualifications & Expectations

• One year of hospital radiologic technology experience preferred.
• Maintain Continuing Education Units.
• Excellent communication skills and initiative.
