Job summary

Sentara Urgent Care Charlottesville is seeking a Part-Time Radiology Technologist to perform general diagnostic radiology imaging under physician supervision and to position patients for accurate imaging. Responsibilities include operating radiology equipment, maintaining radiology systems, and preparing patient rooms and supplies.

The role is 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with potential weekend hours and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Registry eligible graduate with ARRT pending registration; must be registered within 90 days of hire.
• Licensed Rad Tech required for Virginia postings.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic radiology imaging under the direction of a physician.
• Position patients correctly to visualize anatomy and pathology.
• Operate radiation-producing equipment and radiology information systems.
• Prepare patient rooms, equipment and medications as needed.
• May require phlebotomy competency for labs at some sites.

Sentara Urgent Care Charlottesville is now hiring a Part-Time Radiology Technologist!

Hours: Mon--Fri, 8a-5p. Weekends may be available. Part Time 20 hours/week.

As a Radiology Technologist, you will conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic Radiology systems and preparation of patient room/equipment/medications.

Phlebotomy competency for lab may be required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab.

Certification/Licensure

• Registry eligible graduate in lieu of ARRT, must be registered within 90 days of hire.
• Licensed Rad Tech required for staff employed in Virginia.
