Job summary

Sentara Urgent Care Charlottesville is now hiring a Part-Time Radiology Technologist to perform general diagnostic radiology imaging under the direction of a qualified physician. Responsibilities include positioning patients for correct anatomy/pathology and operating radiation-producing equipment.

Phlebotomy competency may be required at sites performing both Radiology and Lab. Licensed Rad Tech or ARRT registry eligibility with 90 days to complete is expected for Virginia staff.

Qualifications

• Registry eligible graduate in lieu of ARRT, must be registered within 90 days of hire.
• Licensed Rad Tech required for staff employed in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies under physician direction.
• Position patients for demonstrations of anatomy/pathology.
• Operate radiology equipment and electronic radiology systems; prepare patient room and equipment.

Overview:

Sentara Urgent Care Charlottesville is now hiring a Part-Time Radiology Technologist!

Hours:

Mon–Fri, 8a-5p. Weekends may be available. Part Time 20 hours/week.

As a Radiology Technologist, you will conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic Radiology systems and preparation of patient room/equipment/medications.

Phlebotomy competency for lab may be required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab.

Certification/Licensure
