Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiologic procedures under radiologist guidance. The role emphasizes patient safety, proper positioning, and high-quality imaging for accurate interpretation.

The position requires a two-year AMA-approved radiologic technology program, one year of radiology experience, and BLS certification. Registration as a Radiologic Technologist (R) is required, with adherence to radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist required.
• Non Degree Program Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Registered Technologist (R) license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with radiologic procedures following radiologists' protocols.
• Prepare, maintain and operate radiographic equipment safely.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
• Produce quality radiographs for interpretation by radiologist.
• Explain procedures to patients and position patients and equipment.
• Develop films and maintain specialized radiologic equipment.

Job description

Performs and/or assists with various types of radiologic procedures, following protocols established by radiologists. Prepares, maintains, and operates radiographic equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Follows appropriate radiation safety guidelines. Produces quality radiographs for interpretation by radiologist. Takes measures to maintain optimal departmental operations. Follows procedures related to registration and EHR use. Explains procedures to patients, positions patients and equipment, develops films, and maintains and operates specialized radiologic equipment in accordance with care standards. Contributes to a safe and therapeutic environment that is centered on the needs of the patients, caregivers and others demonstrating concern for the patient's privacy, comfort, and emotional state. Treats patient with consideration to age, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic background, and culture in a caring, ethical, and professional manner.
