Job summary

Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform imaging examinations per physician orders using a variety of imaging equipment, with emphasis on patient comfort and ALARA radiation safety.

This full-time evening shift rotates Tue-Fri 3pm-1:30am; sign-on bonus of $6,000 for eligible external candidates, plus Providence benefits starting on day one.

Qualifications

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Radiographer License.
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: ARRT Certification.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Notes: New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs imaging examinations per physician orders using diverse imaging equipment.
  • Considers patient age-related needs and ensures proper positioning for accurate imaging.
  • Maintains ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.

Job description

Description: Radiology Technologist at Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR.

Schedule: Full-Time/Evening Shift - Tuesday - Friday from 3pm-1:30am

Sign-on Bonus: $6,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

Responsibilities: The Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations according to physicians orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patients unique and/or age-related needs. Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high quality images. Performs all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator with ALARA awareness.
