Job summary

Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR is seeking a part-time Radiology Technologist for the day shift to perform imaging examinations per physician orders with ALARA principles. The role requires Oregon radiographer licensure or temporary license, ARRT certification, and BLS.

You will operate imaging equipment, ensure patient comfort and safety, and contribute to high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.

Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist meeting licensure/certification requirements.
• Oregon Radiographer License or Temporary License required on hire.
• ARRT certification within 6 months of hire and BLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging exams per physician orders with attention to positioning and dose.
• Maintain ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Provide supportive patient care and ensure image quality for diagnostic interpretation.

Part-Time/Day Shift

The Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations according to physicians orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patients unique and/or age-related needs. Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high quality images. Performs all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator with ALARA awareness.

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
