Job summary

Providence Newberg Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist for the Newberg, OR campus. This full-time evening shift runs Tuesday through Friday from 3pm to 1:30am, with a $6,000 sign-on bonus for eligible external candidates.

The role involves performing imaging exams per physician orders while ensuring patient safety and high-quality results. Ideal applicants hold Oregon Radiographer Licenses (or temporary) with ARRT certification within 6 months of hire and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Upon hire: Oregon Radiographer License (1).
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: ARRT certification.
• Upon hire: BLS - American Heart Association. New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging examinations according to physicians orders, utilizing imaging equipment and considering patient needs and age-related factors.
• Uses ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
• Positioning and technique selection to produce high-quality images for diagnosis.

Full-Time/Evening Shift - Tuesday - Friday from 3pm-1:30am

The Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations according to physicians orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patients unique and/or age-related needs. Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high quality images. Performs all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator with ALARA awareness.
