Job Overview

This role performs prescribed radiographic imaging procedures independently, utilizing technical skills and judgment. The responsibilities include positioning patients, analyzing imaging results, and ensuring high-quality images are obtained.

Responsibilities

1. Position patients and perform imaging procedures; analyze results and address quality issues, including repositioning and repeating procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results. (40%)
2. Review patient history and physician's orders; educate patients about procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. (20%)
3. Prepare and administer contrast media or medications as ordered, monitor patient condition, and respond to changes. (20%)
4. Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, implement safety standards, perform quality control, and troubleshoot equipment issues. (20%)
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or related experience/training.
• ARRT (R) Radiography certification within 12 months of hire.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Act 34, 33, and 73 background clearance certificates.

Preferred: Prior radiology experience.
