Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join a collaborative imaging team in Peabody, MA. The role emphasizes high-quality diagnostic imaging, patient safety, and exceptional patient experience.

You will perform radiographic exams, ensure accurate labeling and PACS workflow, and uphold ALARA principles while supporting radiologists and clinical staff in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required, as applicable.
• Registered Technologist (ARRT RT) credential required within 90 days of hire; ARRT registration preferred at time of hire.
• Experience in radiologic technology preferred; new graduates and early-career candidates may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Confirm the correct patient and exam through patient identification, interview, clinical history, medical record review, and documentation.
• Explain exams, safety protocols, and procedures to patients, considering individual physical, emotional, and language needs.
• Position patients and adjust equipment settings to safely obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Perform imaging exams using radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, diagnostic, and other imaging equipment.
• Ensure exams are labeled prior to transmission to PACS and that images are available in PACS.
• Maintain radiation safety principles (ALARA) and patient shielding as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and care team to support efficient patient flow and high-quality outcomes.
• Maintain equipment readiness, exam room organization, and supply availability.
