Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify patient, verify orders, and prepare patient for exam.
• Perform imaging exams per department protocol with attention to quality.
• Review images for clarity, accuracy, and diagnostic usefulness.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within acceptable time frames without compromising care.
• Assist and instruct students and colleagues on exam protocols and positioning.
• Provide patient education and address concerns; ensure comfort and infection control.
• Operate imaging equipment and related information systems; document procedures.
• Maintain records of patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and report equipment failures.
