Job summary

Conway Medical Center’s Emergency Department in Socastee, SC, seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and support patient care in a fast-paced department.

Responsibilities include operating radiographic equipment, preparing patients, and ensuring high-quality images for interpretation, with emphasis on safety and accurate technique. A minimum of two years' radiology experience is preferred, ARRT registration and SCRQSA/BLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiology Technology required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a diagnostic radiology technologist preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and radiographic exposure required.
• Proficiency in radiation protection practices required.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT required.
• SCRQSA certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate x-ray equipment and adjust for proper radiographic exposure.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
• Position patients for each view.
• Monitor equipment and assist physicians with fluoroscopic and special radiographic procedures.
• Process images for quality and match with paperwork for interpretation.
• Critique positioning and technical factors to ensure film quality.
• Rotate through on-call schedule with other technologists.
