Job summary

Conway Medical Center in Socastee, SC is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate radiographic equipment and perform diagnostic imaging across designated body areas. You will ensure patient comfort, explain procedures, and obtain high-quality images for interpretation.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of a radiology technology program, ARRT registration, SCRQSA certification, and BLS. Two years of radiology experience and strong knowledge of anatomy and exposure techniques

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiology Technology required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a diagnostic radiology technologist preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and radiographic exposure required.
• Proficiency in radiation protection practices required.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) required.
• Certification with SCRQSA required.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet all patients and provide exemplary customer service.
• Operate x-ray equipment and adjust it for proper radiographic exposure.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
• Position patients for each anatomical view.
• Monitor equipment and assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures.
• Process images for optimal quality and match with paperwork for interpretation.
• Maintain film quality by checking positioning and factors.
• Rotate through on-call schedule with other technologists.
