Job description

Performs a variety of radiographic procedures and duties under the supervision of a qualified Physician, Operations Manager, and Diagnostic Technical Specialist, utilizing prescribed levels of ionizing radiation. Ensures all activities comply with federal, state, local, and hospital policies and procedures, working with patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.

Operates imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.

Requirements include:

1. Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of patients across all age groups, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
2. An Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent military training in Radiologic Technology.
3. A Radiologic Technologist License issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Radiation Control Board.
4. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or completion of registration within 12 months of hire.
5. CPR/BLS certification.
6. Must maintain continuing education units (CEUs) as mandated by State and ARRT guidelines.
