Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Grand Blanc, Michigan, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform a variety of imaging procedures in accordance with established policies, under general supervision.

You will operate imaging equipment, position patients, ensure quality images ordered by physicians, and follow radiation safety and QA practices while delivering compassionate patient care. The position is full-time with typical hours 8:00am–5:00pm, and requires ARRT certification and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• Certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures clearly to foster patient comfort and confidence.
• Operate and maintain imaging department equipment including x-ray.
• Position patients and capture images as requested by a physician.
• Perform imaging exams in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations, and laws; notify the physician on duty of results.
• Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure.
