Job summary

Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist who will perform diagnostic imaging under supervision, ensuring patient safety and high-quality images. The role requires ARRT certification and a strong focus on patient care within a collaborative team environment.

The technologist will protect patients by applying radiation safety principles, coordinate with licensed practitioners, and participate in pre/post procedure documentation and care.

Qualifications

• Certified radiologic technologist with ARRT registration (required).
• Associates degree in radiologic technology or ARRT-accredited program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient's clinical history and lab results for licensed practitioner.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate the area of interest.
• Applies radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Operates imaging equipment to perform radiographic procedures.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and radiography procedures.
• Performs required timeouts per policy.
• Manages medications/contrast as prescribed.
