We have an opportunity for a Radiology Technologist in our OrthoCarolina Clemmons office.

The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and ensuring the use of appropriate protection standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrates competency in positioning of all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.
  • Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, providing radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.
  • Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges, and manages related paperwork using computer equipment.
  • Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies, ensuring compliance with all OrthoCarolina policies and procedures.
  • Assists with the transportation of patients between examination modules and the Radiology department and supports patient flow as directed by a supervisor.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to operate various manufacturer types of Radiology suite equipment (e.g., Siemens, GE, Philips).
  • Proficient in the use of Digital Radiology (DR) and Computer Radiology (CR) reader systems.
  • Ability to identify equipment problems and notify supervisors or correct issues when possible.
  • Skilled in proper patient positioning and performing quality diagnostic radiographs.
  • Observes safety and security procedures diligently.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray technician, preferably with an orthopedic background.
  • Registered Radiology Technologist by ARRT or ARRT registry eligible.
  • Current CPR certification is recommended.
