We have an opportunity for a Radiology Technologist in our OrthoCarolina Clemmons office.

The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and ensuring the use of appropriate protection standards.

Essential Functions:

  1. Demonstrates competency in positioning for all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.
  2. Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of understanding, and address questions or concerns.
  3. Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, providing radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.
  4. Logs radiological procedures, processes charges, and manages related paperwork using computer equipment.
  5. Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies, complying with all OrthoCarolina policies and procedures.
  6. Assists with patient transportation between examination modules and the Radiology department, supporting patient flow as directed by a supervisor.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to operate various manufacturer types of Radiology suite equipment (e.g., Siemens, GE, Philips).
  • Proficient in using various Digital Radiology (DR) and Computer Radiology (CR) reader systems.
  • Ability to identify equipment problems and notify supervisors or correct issues when possible.
  • Skill in positioning patients properly and performing quality diagnostic radiographs.
  • Observes safety and security procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray technologist, preferably with an orthopedic background.
  • Registered Radiology Technologist by ARRT or ARRT registry eligible.
  • Current CPR certification is recommended.
