Job Description

Sign on Bonus Eligible: $5,000 (1 year commitment)

Shifts: Vary between M-F 9am-9pm and weekends 9am-6pm, including rotating shifts.

General Overview

This role performs prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Positions patient and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results, identifies issues, and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results. (40%)
2. Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. (20%)
3. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications as ordered. Monitors patient condition and reports/responds to changes. (20%)
4. Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs quality control. Troubleshoots and reports malfunctions. (20%)
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or related experience/training.
• ARRT (R) Radiography certification within 12 months of hire.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34, 33, and 73 Criminal Background Clearances.

Preferred

• Prior radiology experience.
