Position Summary

The Radiology Technologist plays a key role in our team, providing imaging services that support patient care and organizational goals. They perform imaging procedures as needed across various locations, assisting with patient care under the guidance of clinical leadership.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Must be willing to float to all Puget Sound Orthopedic locations (Gig Harbor, Lakewood, and Tacoma).

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge and perform routine maintenance of radiation equipment.
  • Conduct radiologic examinations following established protocols.
  • Operate radiologic and PACS equipment accurately.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and safety measures.
  • Document procedures and store images according to policy.
  • Assist with sterile techniques in surgical settings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic or paper records.
  • Coordinate image printing, copying, and retrieval for surgeries.
  • Assist patients pre- and post-procedure.
  • Participate in housekeeping to ensure a safe environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current ARRT registration and WA State Radiologic Technologist certification.
  • Preferred: minimum 3 years of clinical radiology experience.
  • Current BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
