Job summary

Midwest Pain Management Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Radiology Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery center in Lee’s Summit, MO. Under physician direction, you will perform radiographic procedures to promote positive patient outcomes per established protocols.

Requirements include ARRT certification, state license, BLS within 30 days, and 1+ year experience. You will prepare patients, shield appropriately, maintain equipment, document records, and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of radiology.
• 1+ years' experience as Radiology Technician, preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting.
• ARRT certification is required.
• BLS required within 30 days of start.
• State Radiology Technician license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures; assess patient condition.
• Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids per physician's preference card.
• Test and monitor radiology equipment for proper functioning.
• Document records and other forms in accordance with policies/procedures.
• Ensure shielding of all in-room persons before activating x-ray.
• Communicate patient status to other care team members.
• Maintain instruments, supplies, and equipment through cleaning, storage and calibration.
