St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee seeks a Radiologic Technologist for the second shift. The position offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus, benefits at 20+ hours per week, and tuition reimbursement, with a 40-hour workweek.

The Radiology Department provides fluoroscopy, OR, Urology, GI/Pulmonary, Neurology, Pain Clinic, General X-ray, and specialized procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. Wisconsin license and ARRT RT certification required.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
• Registered Technologist (RT) certification by ARRT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

• Competently performs basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general diagnostic and general fluoroscopic.
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm understanding and address questions.
• Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, providing radiation protection and safety.
• Identifies patient and labels images; ensures exam accuracy and processes images for quality.
• Assists, communicates and consults with Radiologists.
• Prepares and maintains records; enters patient and study information into the radiology information system; documents billing codes.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties; lifts up to 50 lbs and may require assist with heavier transfers.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate care as per department standards.
