Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking Radiology Technologists to join our team across DC/VA, including MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University Hospital. You will operate conventional, fluoroscopic, and portable radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs as specified by physicians.

Primary duties include patient prep, proper positioning, assisting with contrast administration, and data entry into the Radiology Information System (MARS).

Qualifications

• Associate degree and ARRT certification required.
• Experience operating radiology equipment and following radiographic protocols.
• Ability to prepare patients and assist with contrast administration as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for radiograph and position properly.
• Assist in administering drugs/contrast agents and set technical factors.
• Enter data into the Radiology Information System (MARS) for records and billing.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam room and assist with clerical tasks.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors.

MedStar Health is looking for a Radiology Technologists to join our team at the following locations:

• Urgent Care – All throughout DC/VA
• MedstarWashington HospitalCenter
• MedstarGeorgetownUniversityHospital

As aRadiological Technologist, you willoperateconventional,fluoroscopic,and portable radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs of designated body areas according to physician specification and radiographic protocols.

Primary Duties

• Prepares patient for radiograph. Lifts patient onto and off examination table. Properly positions patient for X-ray exam, adjusts immobilization devices and affixesappropriate radiationshielding.
• Assistsin the administration of drugs and/or contrast agents. Calculates and selects proper technicalfactors anduses correct film/ screencombinations. Processes and develops film.
• Enters data into the Radiology Information System (MARS) for medical records, billing,statistics,and quality assurance purposes.Providesguidance to radiology students as needed.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition. Ensures that the exam roomcontainsthe proper supplies for the diagnostic procedures.Performs various clerical tasks including answering phones, relaying messages, and scheduling exams.etc.
• Reports equipment malfunction to supervisory personnel.

Qualifications

• Associate degree.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) certification.

This position has a hiring range of : USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 /Hr.
