Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. The ideal candidate is a registered Radiology Technologist with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You will perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, obtain vital signs, and assist with IV insertions and phlebotomy while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position includes a limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Radiology Technologist registered with ARRT and Maryland license
• Associate degree preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develops radiographic films and maintains room cleanliness
• Maintains orderliness of work areas and ensures equipment is in good operating order
• Obtains patient history and vital signs, documents results and prepares written reports
• Performs radiographic examinations and assists with fluoroscopic procedures as needed
• Requests and manages supply orders to keep materials stocked and ready

MedStar Health is looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our team at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital!The ideal candidate will bea registered Radiology Technologist with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

As aRadiology Technologist, you willperform diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation, EKGs, phlebotomy, IV insertions, autologous and therapeutic donations, and obtain vital signs.

Primary Duties:

• Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.Transport patients to radiographic room as needed. Prepares and maintains room.

• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. MaintainsX-rayand other equipment in efficient operating order.Performs preventative maintenance regularly.

• Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.Obtains vital signs, asindicated, along with required documentation.Prepares writtendocumentation suchas evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. Access, manipulate, store and Create CD's from PACS.

• Performs radiographic examinations. Mayassista licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic, specialized interventional procedures. May perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures asappropriateand consistent with applicable state statutes.

• Requests and orders supply as needed to keep materials on hand.Checks drug supplies and informs theappropriate personof what needs to be re-stocked.

Qualifications:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Radiology Technology and license in the State of Maryland.

• Associate degree preferred.

This position has a hiring range of : USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 /Hr.
