Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals in North Carolina is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our Imaging Services team. You will perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic exams across diverse settings, including ED, OR, pediatrics, outpatient imaging, and portable studies, while delivering compassionate patient care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT registration (or eligibility), with 1 year of radiology experience preferred.

  • Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT) or eligible for registration as required.
  • One year of clinical radiology experience preferred.

We're hiring a Radiology Technologist to join our Imaging Services team. In this role, you'll perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures while providing exceptional patient care across a variety of clinical settings, including the emergency department, operating room, pediatrics, outpatient services, and portable imaging. This position plays a vital role in helping physicians diagnose and treat patients safely, accurately, and efficiently. The position also participates in call rotation across multiple WakeMed locations.

What you'll do
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic exams while producing high-quality images for physician interpretation.
  • Provide safe, compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout exams.
  • Prepare patients and imaging equipment for procedures, following established protocols and radiation safety standards.
  • Document exam information accurately in electronic systems and maintain complete patient records.
  • Support efficient department operations by maintaining imaging equipment, troubleshooting minor issues, and collaborating with physicians and care team members.
Who you are
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT) or eligible for registration as required.
  • One year of clinical radiology experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a variety of settings, including emergency services, surgery, pediatrics, outpatient imaging, fluoroscopy, and portable exams.
