Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at Metropolitan Vascular Institute. The role requires ARRT certification and Maryland licensure, plus interventional radiology experience and strong communication skills.

Schedule is three days per week between Monday and Thursday, with duties including patient prep, vitals, documentation, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiology Technologist with ARRT certification and Maryland license.
• Interventional Radiology experience.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Transports patients to radiographic rooms and maintains equipment.
• Obtains history, vital signs, and documents results and treatment plans.
• Accesses, manipulates, stores and creates CDs from PACS.
• Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic procedures as appropriate.

As aRadiology Technologist,you willperform diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation, EKGs, phlebotomy, IV insertions, autologous and therapeutic donations, and obtain vital signs.

Primary Duties

Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.

Transport patients to radiographic room as needed. Prepares and maintains room.

Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. MaintainsX-rayand other equipment in efficient operating order.Performs preventative maintenance regularly.

Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.Obtains vital signs, asindicated, along with required documentation.Prepares writtendocumentation suchas evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. Access, manipulate, store and Create CD's from PACS.

Performs radiographic examinations. Mayassista licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic, specialized interventional procedures. May perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures asappropriateand consistent with applicable state statutes.

Requests and orders supply as needed to keep materials on hand.Checks drug supplies and informs theappropriate personof what needs to be re-stocked.

Qualifications

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Radiology Technology and license in the State of Maryland.

Interventional Radiology experience.

Associate degree preferred.
