Job summary

MedStar Health's Metropolitan Vascular Institute in the Baltimore–Washington metro region is seeking a Radiology Technologist. The ideal candidate will be a registered Radiology Technologist with strong communication skills, ready to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

Schedule is flexibility-based: Any 3 days between Monday and Thursday. The role requires ARRT certification in Maryland and an Interventional Radiology background.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiology Technology license (MD) required.
• Interventional Radiology experience.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops radiographs and fluoroscopic images.
• Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic procedures.
• Obtains patient history and vital signs; documents results.
• Produces and manages CDs from PACS and maintains equipment.
• Orders supplies and keeps radiology materials stocked.

As aRadiology Technologist,you willperform diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation, EKGs, phlebotomy, IV insertions, autologous and therapeutic donations, and obtain vital signs.

Primary Duties:

• Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.Transport patients to radiographic room as needed. Prepares and maintains room.

• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. MaintainsX-rayand other equipment in efficient operating order.Performs preventative maintenance regularly.

• Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.Obtains vital signs, asindicated, along with required documentation.Prepares writtendocumentation suchas evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. Access, manipulate, store and Create CD's from PACS.

• Performs radiographic examinations. Mayassista licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic, specialized interventional procedures. May perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures asappropriateand consistent with applicable state statutes.

• Requests and orders supply as needed to keep materials on hand.Checks drug supplies and informs theappropriate personof what needs to be re-stocked.

Qualifications:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Radiology Technology and license in the State of Maryland.

• Interventional Radiology experience.
• Associate degree preferred.

This position has a hiring range of : USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 /Hr.
