Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our Metropolitan Vascular Institute team in Maryland. The ideal candidate will be ARRT-certified and MD-licensed, able to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with strong communication skills.

The role includes preparing exam areas, transporting patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting results, and creating CDs from PACS. Interventional radiology experience is preferred; associate degree is desirable.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiologic Technology certification and Maryland license required.
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
• Associate degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule : Any 3 days of work between Monday - Thursday

As aRadiology Technologist,you willperform diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation, EKGs, phlebotomy, IV insertions, autologous and therapeutic donations, and obtain vital signs.

Primary Duties

Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.

Transport patients to radiographic room as needed. Prepares and maintains room.

Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. MaintainsX-rayand other equipment in efficient operating order.Performs preventative maintenance regularly.

Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.Obtains vital signs, asindicated, along with required documentation.Prepares writtendocumentation suchas evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. Access, manipulate, store and Create CD's from PACS.

Performs radiographic examinations. Mayassista licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic, specialized interventional procedures. May perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures asappropriateand consistent with applicable state statutes.

Requests and orders supply as needed to keep materials on hand.Checks drug supplies and informs theappropriate personof what needs to be re-stocked.

Qualifications

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Radiology Technology and license in the State of Maryland.

Interventional Radiology experience.

Associate degree preferred.
