Job summary

Novant Health in Greenville, SC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist I to join our radiology team on a part-time basis, 2.5 days per week from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will prepare patients, operate x-ray equipment, and obtain diagnostic images while upholding safety standards.

You will position patients, verify consent and history, document results in EMR/RIS/PACS, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality care in a supportive clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year/Associate degree; ARRT-approved Radiography program graduate.
• One year radiology experience preferred.
• RT(R) certification/registration required (NH or ARRT).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures per physician orders and protocols.
• Position patients for exams and ensure comfort, safety, and understanding of the procedure.
• Verify patient identity and clinical history before imaging.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while following ALARA principles.
• Administer contrast media and venipuncture within scope and guidelines.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team to deliver care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR, RIS, and PACS.
• Support quality, safety, and compliance in line with Novant Health policy.
• Provide compassionate patient experience and excellent service.

Job description

What We Offer:

The Radiologic Technologist I works independently and/or assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the ambulatory setting.

Location: Greenville, South Carolina

Hours: [Part Time] 2.5 days per week, Monday through Friday, with working hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Specific days will be determined based on departmental needs.

What We're Looking For:

• Education:2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
• Experience:One year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R) Required NH Medical Group Office Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R), required.
• Additional Skills (required):Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures.
• Additional Skills (preferred):
  • NH MedicalRegistry-eligible in Radiography by ARRT
  • Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(required) within 6 months of hire

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will contribute to our growing radiology team by:

• Performing diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Preparing and positioning patients for exams while ensuring their comfort, safety, and understanding of the procedure.
