Job summary

OrthoArizona is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join its orthopedic team in Surprise, AZ. New graduates welcome and compensation includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus with staged payouts.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, explaining procedures, protecting patients from radiation, and obtaining X-rays per established protocols. Applicants should have ARRT credentials, MRTBE license, CPR, and 1–2 years radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of ARRT Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT certification in Medical Imaging
• Arizona MRTBE license
• CPR certification
• 1–2 years radiology experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions
• Protect patients from radiation exposure using shielding equipment
• Take X-rays following established patient care procedures
• Document patient care in the chart
• Import outside imaging to office PACS
• Scan documents into EMR
• Maintain QC logs and dosimetry badges
• Ensure equipment is in working order and radiology supplies are stocked

What to Expect as a Radiology Tech with OrthoArizona:

This role does not require you perform Fluoroscopy or be involved in surgery.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, no weekends, no major holidays, no on-call

Location: Surprise, AZ

$2,500 Sign On Bonus! $1,250 after 45 days, the other $1,250 after 90 days!

As a Radiology Technologist with OrthoArizona, you’ll get to:

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures
• Explain all procedures to patients being sure all of their questions are answered
• Protect patients from unnecessary exposure to radiation by utilizing shielding equipment.
• Take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
• Document patient care services in chart
• Import outside imaging to office PACS
• Scan documents into EMR
• Maintains accurate QC logs and service records, maintain and monitor dosimetry badges, etc. as required by state and federal regulations
• Ensure equipment is in working order, maintain radiology supplies and reports any malfunctions.

Your experience should include:

• 1 – 2 years Radiology, preferably in a busy orthopedic practice or hospital.
• Completion of approved American College of Radiology Technologist Program
• Certificate of Medical Imaging Modality by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
• Arizona State license Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners (MRTBE)
• Maintain CPR certification
