The Rad Tech I is responsible for operating imaging equipment to perform procedures on a specified patient population, modeling appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision, and Values.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, policies, and procedures.
• Manage resources such as supplies and equipment efficiently.
• Demonstrate professional behavior and excellent customer service in all interactions.

Qualifications

Education: Technical Degree or Diploma in Radiology.

Experience: No prior work experience required.

Skills and Abilities: Basic knowledge of radiographic equipment and imaging procedures; effective communication skills; familiarity with radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, PACS preferred).

Licenses and Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association; Registered Radiologic Technologist from the ARRT.

Physical Demands

• Activities include climbing, pushing, standing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motions.
• Must have good balance, coordination, and visual acuity, including color and depth perception.
• Physical exertion may include lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently.
• Frequent patient contact and exposure to body fluids and hazardous materials.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
