Qualifications

• Must obtain ARRT certification for licensure.
• ARRT – CT Technology Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality CT images.
• Prepares examination rooms and monitors inventory.
• Assists radiologist with procedures and medication administration.
• Provide professional patient care and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Prepare examination rooms and monitor supplies; keep rooms clean.
• Assist radiologist with contrast administration and procedures as needed.
• Review exams for technical accuracy and PACS verification.
• Assist with PACS cleanup and image verifications.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and complete ongoing education requirements.

Job Summary & Qualifications

Currently offering a sign‑on bonus up to $15k.

Specific Elements and Essential Functions

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality CT images of patients and follows established scanning protocols, adjusting protocols as required.
• Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self; appropriately utilizes personal protective equipment and operates the CT scanner safely and competently.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (e.g., Meditech), ensures proper charges are entered and verifies referring physicians’ orders.
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepares examination rooms for CT scan and/or invasive procedures, monitors inventory of supplies during room rotation, and maintains room cleanliness and neat appearance.
• Assists the radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.
• Reviews each exam for technical accuracy (technical quality, anatomical positioning, annotation, etc.) and completes the verification process in PACS.
• Assists Facility System Administrator and CT Supervisor with PACS clean up (e.g., unarchived images, verifications and reporting unspecified images).
• Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients according to HIPAA policy and procedure.
• Completes and maintains personal educational requirements.

Education

• Graduate of an AMA‑approved School of Radiologic Technology; responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure – required.

Licensure / Certification

• American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• ARRT – CT Technology Certification (required within 6 months of hire).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider.
