Job summary

Shriners Children’s in Portland, OR seeks a PRN Radiology Technologist to perform imaging procedures with a focus on safety and patient care. You will work closely with radiologists and physicians to produce high-quality images in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, graduation from an accredited radiology program, Oregon OBMI license, ARRT, and BLS. Prior pediatric or orthopedic radiology experience is preferred; compensation based on experience.

Job Description

We currently have an opening for a PRN Radiology Technologist to join our Portland, OR team. Radiologic technologists are medical personnel who perform imaging procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff in a fast-paced setting
• Maintain a high standard of safety, compliance, and patient satisfaction
• Responsible for a correctively positioning patientsand ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced
• Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury
• Demonstrates professional role requirements related to communication with peers and supervisor and flexibilityduring unexpected work-related events
• Maintains on going- plan for personal growth and self-development

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
• Oregon state license (OBMI)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in pediatric/orthopedic radiology
  Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
