Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to assist physicians, nurses, and other staff in meeting patient needs throughout the facility.
  • Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment including X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.
  • Perform all imaging exams following policies, procedures, regulations, and laws; notify the physician of results.
  • Perform basic clinical procedures under the direction of the physician and/or nurse.
  • Maintain documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policies and regulations.
  • Maintain supplies of reagents and consumables for quality testing.
  • Perform routine maintenance and checks on all imaging equipment.
  • Perform Quality Control activities as established.
  • Participate in Proficiency Testing and Split Sample analysis periodically.
  • Retain records of analytic activities for a minimum of two years.
  • Conduct Quality Assessment activities and document for review.
Other Job Functions
  • Perform duties as ER Technician as needed.
  • Travel to all facility locations as required.
  • Attend staff and mandated meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology.
  • Associate’s Degree in Radiology (preferred).
  • Certified as a medical radiologic technologist as required by the state.
  • Registered Technologist with ARRT in radiography (required).
  • Registered Technologist with ARRT in computed tomography (preferred); CT certification required within 12 months of hire (Pennsylvania).
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience (preferred).
  • 1+ years of CT experience (preferred).
  • 1+ years of ER experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency with X-ray/CT equipment, hardware/software, and PACS.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral.
