Job summary

Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a part-time day shift. You will perform imaging exams, ensure patient safety with ALARA, and position patients for optimal image quality while meeting licensure and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Oregon Radiographer License upon hire, Or
• Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire.
• National Certification from ARRT within 6 months of hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging examinations according to physician orders using a variety of imaging equipment.
• Maintains ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.
• Performs examinations with appropriate patient positioning and technique to produce high-quality images.

Part-Time/Day Shift

$4,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

The Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations according to physicians orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patients unique and/or age-related needs. Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high quality images. Performs all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator with ALARA awareness.
