Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join the Radiology department. Under a Radiologist, you will perform radiographic procedures and operate x-ray equipment to produce diagnostically usable films.

You will document patient histories, prepare reports, and maintain patient confidentiality while upholding professional standards. Requires AMA-approved training, ARRT, and BCLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration and BCLS required.
• Knowledge of anatomy and principles of physics, electricity, and body postures.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures.
• Operates x-ray equipment to produce diagnostically acceptable films.

Position Purpose

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures. Performs a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions and produces diagnostically acceptable films for radiologist interpretation. Documents patient history prepares documentation of all procedures/reports completed and reports this to the radiologist. Maintains courtesy, professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, staff and physicians.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and BCLS required.
• Working knowledge of anatomy and principles of physics, electricity and variations of anatomical postures.
